Gary is a partner at Hanner Law Office and has practiced at the firm since 1981.
Gary has wide-ranging litigation experience. He served as Deputy Prosecutor of Parke County from 1981 until 1986. He currently serves as a Deputy Prosecutor in Parke County.
Gary represents North Central Parke Community School Corporation, South Vermillion Community School Corporation, and serves as attorney for the Town of Rosedale. He also represented Southwest Parke Community School Corporation from 1987 to 2014.
His practice areas include estate planning and administration, will contests, business matters, quiet title actions, and other areas involving civil litigation.
Gary has always been involved in community affairs, serving on the Board of Directors for Billie Creek Village, Inc., and as its President from 1988 through 2005. He was also a part of the founding Board of Directors for the Parke County Community Foundation and served in that role from 1993 until 1999. He currently serves on the Gifting Committee for the Parke County Community Foundation as well as on the Rockville Economic Development Commission and the Rockville Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee.
Gary is married to Mary Collings and they have two children, Brooks and Abigail. Brooks practices law at Hogan Lovells in Washington D.C. and is a fourth generation attorney.
